After spending five months as a digital nomad in Penang, I decided to take a quick trip to Batam to experience a new culture and explore food spots.
Given that Batam is just an hour’s trip from Harbourfront, we decided to make an impromptu visit!
We purchased an express ticket from Klook, it gives us access to batam airport’s lounge, as well as to skip ahead of the custom queue.

Located 6 minutes grab ride away from Batam Centre, we picked the closest hotel with decent ratings since it’s an impromptu trip – they allow you to leave your luggage with them after checkout!
Room is good, clean. Free Hotel breakfast buffet is located @ 12 floor with a great view, food was okay for what we paid.
Comes with an egg station with an alternative to use butter!
